for legal professionals during emergency situations.

Many legal aid organizations similar were caught by surprise when they were forced to move many of their services online during the COVID-19 pandemic, struggling to serve their clients as a result. After working to implement a simple banner on LegalFAQ.org to direct users emergency funds, I wondered how we might create scalable guidance around basic design principles that would help legal professionals quickly and easily design their virtual presence in future emergency situations.

I designed a series of short “Emergency Design Field Guides” that describe actionable steps legal professionals can take to ensure that they are still able to reach their clients virtually, no matter the situation they find themselves in. These field guides were made publicly available through the Stanford Legal Design Lab. Check them out below:
